Thanks to the many people who donated their excess stuff for sale, the Bayview Street garage sale was very successful. And, thanks to the great set of neigbours that we have in our little cul-de-sac, it was even fun! The piles of crockery, books, clothing and toys were gradually whittled down during the (very hot) day. Memo and Bec sweated it out during a short Mexican dance routine which included throwing heavy steel machetes at Neville. Much of the excess has now gone to Lifeline or has been taken by treasure hunters.

“When’s the next one?” “Why don’t we do this every week?” – some comments from people at El Bushdance, 2006.
We had a wonderful evening with such a range of performances and a great cross-section of our community. We had folks travel down from the Blue Mountains and over from South Sydney and people aged from 7 months to 70 years.
We also raised about $1000 for Crossroads support. So, THANKS, to everyone who helped with the evening by cooking sausages, making cakes, serving in the kitchen, setting up equipment, dancing, playing in the band and, of course, participating.

It’s tomorrow night. We hope you can come and have some fun! It’s going to be a great night with bush dancing (featuring the Calabash bush band) displays of Irish dancing, Mexican and Ceroc dancing. There will be sausages and refreshments for sale. There will also be a chance to find out more about Crossroads International and a gift stall with some great things to buy: 6pm Berowra Community Centre $20 for a family or $10 for an adult or $5 for a concession. See you there!!
