December 2006

Speaking to Crossroads staff today I have found out that I will be working in the shipping department. It will be my role to correspond with consignees and potential consignees of shipments. That will be a very interesting position to work in, as I will be able to keep you informed as to how people in need are being helped by Crossroads.

dsc03309.JPGLast week we went down to Stanmore to visit SDEPS. We met the principal and several teachers. Our children have been assigned to class 29. They will be sent work, readers and tapes to continue with the NSW curriculum that they are currently following at Mt.Kuring Gai Public School. The teacher at Crossroads will then facilitate the learning of this curriculum. Here is a photo of the children outside the school. Quite strange to go to a school, with teacher, children’s work displayed, texts, readers, curriculum, staffrooms, a library…. and no children. The children are spread all over Australia and the world and they currently have about 108 enrolled.
